This group plans the decorations of our worship space which includes elements such as colors, flowers, candles, and more.
These sacristans also are responsible for the cleaning of all liturgical cloths, watering of flowers, etc.
This group meets seasonally to plan our worship environment and linen/flower maintenance runs on a weekly schedule.
St. Gerard Majella
The Altar Guild provides a vital service to the parish community. Some members do all the things necessary to keep the sanctuary and entrance areas clean and orderly. Other members care for small linens, by laundering and ironing and/or the laundry and repair of larger cloths used at liturgy.
Presently, there are four teams who volunteer to do the sanctuary chores. Each team perform their duties once every fourth week.
Those who volunteer to launder the small linens are asked to commit to a month of caring of linens. Laundry is picked up after weekend Masses, cleaned and returned for following weekend. The frequency for this ministry is every fourth month.
We are always in need of extra pairs of hands. If interested in becoming part of this important ministry, contact Lisa Wilson at the rectory 781-828-3420 ext. 300.
